Reading and Writing
Course Introduction

Based on CA State Standards with differentiated instruction based on student needs

Each session covers specific phonics, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing skills

By attending a total of 30 sessions, students will master all skillsets required by CA State Standards

Reading and writing skills will be taught with direct and explicit instruction to enhance the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills

All readings are selected by teaching experts to target on specific reading strategies, reading fluency, and reading comprehesion skills

Ample opportunities for students to discuss and write in response to texts to foster deeper understanding of the reading content
Class Structure

Classes assigned to teachers with the most grade level experience and subject-specific knowledge

Each class has no more than 4 students

Classes delivered through interactive Zoom meetings

Homework provided for each session

For G1 and above, feedback will be provided on all assignments
